Key Purpose Of The Role:
Key Tasks:
- Inventory-Heavy Business Model: Manage a business model with a 4–6 month inventory cycle and significant inventory holding requirements.
- Working Capital: Manage high working capital deployment associated with inventory procurement, storage, and operations.
- Offtake Dependency: Manage financial exposure and planning linked to offtake dependency on large buyers.
- Multi-Location Operations: Monitor financial performance across multiple locations and identify potential cost leakages.
- Profitability Analysis: Build and maintain ₹/MT profitability models to track margins across products and locations.
- Biomass Bank P&L: Own and monitor Biomass Bank-level Profit & Loss statements and financial performance.
- Working Capital Analysis: Analyse working capital costs and identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory ageing, inventory accuracy, losses, and associated financial impact.
- Cost Optimization: Work closely with operations teams to identify and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- MIS & Dashboards: Develop and deliver accurate MIS reports, financial dashboards, and business performance insights.
- ₹/MT Profitability Dashboard: Develop a dashboard to monitor product- and location-level profitability on a per-metric-ton basis.
- Location-Wise P&L: Prepare and maintain location-wise P&L statements and profitability analysis.
- Inventory Carrying Cost Analysis: Analyse inventory holding and carrying costs and identify optimization opportunities.
- Working Capital Model: Develop and maintain a working capital model to monitor capital deployment and efficiency.
- Cost Reduction Roadmap: Develop and track a structured roadmap for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
- Qualification: CMA qualified.
- Experience: 3–7 years of relevant experience in finance, business analysis, commercial operations, or related functions.
- Financial Modelling: Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
- Industry Experience: Experience in logistics, commodity businesses, supply chain, or inventory-intensive businesses is preferred.
- ₹/MT Margin Improvement: Improvement in profitability and contribution margin per metric ton.
- Cost Reduction: Achievement of identified cost reduction and optimization targets.
- Inventory Accuracy: Accuracy of physical and system-recorded inventory.
- Working Capital Efficiency: Improved utilization and efficiency of working capital.
- MIS Quality: Accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and usefulness of MIS reports and dashboards.
- Profitability Impact: Directly contributes to improving business profitability and ₹/MT margins.
- Working Capital Optimization: Plays a critical role in optimizing working capital deployment and reducing carrying costs.
- Financial Visibility: Provides accurate financial insights and performance visibility across Biomass Banks and business locations.
- Lender Confidence: Supports financial discipline, transparency, and reporting quality, contributing to lender confidence.
