20+ Years in Strategic Advisory, Energy & Biofuels

Ashish Kumar is the Managing Director of Verbio India and Vice President of the Indian Federation  of Green Energy (IFGE). He brings over two decades of experience across strategic advisory,  implementation, energy, and defense sectors in European and Asian markets. 

He has been leading Verbio India since 2019, where he is responsible for building and integrating  the complete CBG value chain for one of India’s largest agri-residue-based biofuel projects. In  parallel, he has played an active role in shaping policy for the CBG and biomethane sector  through his leadership at IFGE. 

Prior to Verbio, Ashish spent over 15 years with EAC-Euro Asia Consulting, a German strategy  and M&A advisory firm focused on emerging markets, where he worked across strategy,  operational excellence, and market-entry mandates for industrial and energy businesses. 

He began his career as a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy, where he spent seven years  working on the design, development, testing, and rollout of command-and-control software  systems, including applications for underwater platforms and selected naval aviation projects.

Ashish holds a degree in Computer Technology from Nagpur University, a Master of Science in  Software Systems from BITS Pilani, and an MBA in International Business from HHL Leipzig  Graduate School of Management. He has also completed an Executive Management Course in  Mergers & Acquisitions from IIM Ahmedabad.
