Prof. M. V. Ashok ​ An Agribusiness Professional with over 37 years of development banking experience Ex-NABARD Currently serving as an Advisor to Aditya Birla Group, several NGOs and FPOs and mentor to many agritech startups

Prof. Ashok is an Agribusiness Professional who retired as the Chief General Manager of the National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) Head Office, Mumbai after 37 years of development banking service. He currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the School of Agribusiness Management, MITWPU, Pune besides being an adviser to Aditya Birla Group as well as several NGOs and FPOs. He also acts as a mentor for about 6 agritech start-ups.

​Prof. Ashok has a Postgraduate degree in Agriculture, from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University with additional qualifications in Agri-Business Management from Cornell University, USA.

Prof. Ashok He has been studying agricultural marketing for the last decade and learning from the experiences of Agri start-ups. He has also worked in the rural finance and agribusiness sector in several countries including Thailand, Kenya, China, Germany USA, Finland, and England.
