40+ Years in Industrial Biotechnology, Engineering & EnergyShishir Joshipura is the Co-Founder of EnerViaTech and a veteran business leader with over four decades of experience across industrial biotechnology, engineering, and energy.
He served as CEO & Managing Director of Praj Industries, driving global growth in bioenergy, including 1G & 2G ethanol and biorefinery solutions. Prior to this, he was Managing Director at SKF India, leading the Indian operations of a global industrial and automotive leader.
At Thermax, he held key leadership roles including EVP and Divisional Head, managing global heating and cooling businesses and leading the Process Heat Division.
His expertise spans global business leadership, large-scale engineering projects, multi-location manufacturing, and strategic roadmap development across industrial and energy sectors.
An alumnus of BITS Pilani and Harvard Business School (AMP), he has been recognised among India’s top 100 CEOs and awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2024 by BITS Pilani. He continues to advise on bioenergy initiatives and serves on multiple boards.
