Previous Experience
Siddhartha Choudhary is an experienced Agri-Tech entrepreneur and business leader with over 20 years of work across agriculture, technology, and rural markets. He holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He started his career working on sea-going ships and later took on leadership roles at companies like Monsanto, Johnson & Johnson, and Medtronic. He also spent three years working with a social enterprise in India, Africa, and Bangladesh, helping rural communities.
At CropIn, he was the Chief Business Officer and helped grow the business in India and globally, exploring how AI and technology can solve problems in farming.
Later, Siddhartha co-founded DestaGlobal, where he built a farm input e-commerce platform that reached 5,000 retailers and 150,000 farmers. In 2020, he started Helicrofter, another Agri-Tech startup that quickly grew and was later acquired by DeHaat. At DeHaat, he led expansion into key states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh.
Siddhartha is also an author. He has written a fiction novel called “Eagle Spotted, Message Decoded” and enjoys writing poetry.
He brings together deep knowledge of agriculture, rural India, and technology, with a passion for creating real impact.
